Susan Blackman Wynne, 68, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at her residence with her family by her side.

Susan was born on September 6, 1955, in Cumberland County to the late Donovan Wilson Blackman and Mae Murry Blackman.

After working for FASCO for 15 years, Susan worked at several florists in the Cumberland County area for the next 18 years. She loved traveling to the beach and sunbathing.

Susan and her husband, Bob, of 43 years, enjoyed listening to the local bands and she loved dancing with her friends. One of her favorite things to do was shooing her husband from under her feet and out of her hair.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, cousin, and friend to all who knew her.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Blackman; and sister, Patricia "Patty" Blackman.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Wynne; daughter, Julie Wynne; sons, Anthony Wynne and James Wynne; sisters, Joan Duncan and husband Ronnie, Jean Gales and husband John; brother, Johnny Blackman and wife Susan; sister-in-law, Cheryl Okell; and grandchildren, Nicole Wynne, Rowan Trent Wynne and Chloe Wassum.
