Mrs. Sybil Fields Phillips, 84, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Southeastern Regional Hospital in Lumberton.

Mrs. Phillips was born May 5, 1931 to the late Gladys Stallings Fields & David Fields. She was a retired Office Manager with Pepsi Cola Bottling Co.40 years with 20 years of service in the Fayetteville office. She was a native member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church where she loved visiting the homebound and nursing homes, she helped with many activities of the church and also served as a greeter. She loved people and will be remembered by her warm smile to everyone she met. She also served as a volunteer with Cape Fear Valley Hospital for many years. She was preceded in death by her Husband, James H. Phillips and her sister Dorothea Fields.

Surviving are her sister, Hilda Nell Fields; special cousin, Gay Allen; many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Herrmann officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday, one hour prior to the service in The Gathering Hall at the Church.
