FAYETTEVILLE - Terry Preston Shiver, 50, of Fayetteville, died Monday, June 1, 2009, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Shiver worked for the Haymount Exxon, where he was known as the \\"Yogurt Man.\\" He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve, where he was commissioned a second lieutenant.
He is survived by his parents, Charles P. and Pearl Shiver of Fayetteville; son, Terry Shiver II and wife April of Fayetteville; daughter, Marie Rose Shiver of Parma, Ohio; brothers, Ritchie Shiver and wife Christine of Fayetteville, Kalvin Ray Shiver of Westminster, Md., Timothy W. Shiver and wife Denise of Ashford, Ala.; and Derek Zane Shiver and wife Tessa of Pasadena, Md.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Archie Barringer officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009, at the funeral home.
