FAYETTEVILLE - Terry H. Williams, 63, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Born April 18, 1947, in Cumberland County, he was a 1965 graduate of Fayetteville Senior High School. He earned his bachelor degree in business administration from Methodist College. He proudly served his country from 1968-1971. He was stationed at the Korean Demilitarized Zone in South Korea. After his military service, Terry returned to Fayetteville, where he took over the family business, Williams Printing, 1033 Bragg Blvd. Terry loved life and the beauty of living day-by-day. He was an outdoorsman and cherished the beauty and life of God's creation. After many years of illness, Terry was surrounded by his family and friends until the end. Now he lives. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas H. Williams, former attorney and clerk of court, and Shirley Leidich Williams, founder of Williams Printing in 1947. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie (Debra West) Williams of the home; stepson, Jerome Hawkes of Fayetteville; sister, Holly Williams Owen of Fayetteville; nephews, Keith, Hunter and Jeremy Owen of Nashville, Tenn.; uncle, Sherrill Williams and wife Shirley of Fayetteville; aunt, Bevie Starling and husband Thomas of Fayetteville; great-niece, Madeline Owen of Nashville; and beloved pets, Jesse and Ruby Bell Williams. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at Bethel Baptist Church, 1972 Bethel Baptist Road in Spring Lake, with the Rev. W. Rupert Rivenbark officiating. A private family burial will follow with military honors. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
