Theodore Blake "Dick" Blount, Jr., 91, of Fayetteville passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at the N.C. State Veterans Nursing Home.

Dick was born January 5, 1932, in Fayetteville to the late Elizabeth and Theodore Blake Blount, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Blount and sister, Virginia Bishop.

Dick was a retired photographer with the Fayetteville Observer. He was a faithful member of Victory United Methodist. He was an Army Veteran.

He enjoyed his retirement home at White Lake and spent a lot of his retirement helping with his son's business adventures at the lake.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 12 noon at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11-12 Noon.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Wynona Harding Blount; sons, Ted Blount (Robyn) and Tim Blount (Tammy); grandchildren, Lauren Blount, Travis Blount (Elizabeth), Tyson Blount Jones (Max); great-grandchildren, Eleanor Frances Jones and Jackson Baker Blount; and several nieces and nephews.
