Obituary

Theresa "Terri" Lynn Taylor, 51, of St. Pauls, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025, on her birthday.

Terri was born on December 15, 1974, in New Jersey to the late Charles Robert Cummings and Linda Arlene Crawford Cummings.   She had a deep love for the beach and anything connected to the water. Dolphins, fishing, and swimming brought her great joy, and being near the water always seemed to ease her worries. When at home, Terri found happiness in raising goats, rabbits, and chickens. She especially cherished quiet mornings spent outdoors, sipping her coffee while watching her chickens.

She was an FCC licensed ham radio operator, holding a general class license with the call sign KF4VNT, and had been involved in and held FEMA certifications for Emergency/Disaster Preparedness and Communications and had provided communication during several hurricanes and other events.  She was also a National Weather Service Advanced level Skywarn certified Spotter and Net Control Operator.

Terri was a devoted and loving mother, wife, sister, cousin, and friend. Her son, Alex, was truly a mama's boy, and she treasured every moment they spent together. Her caring spirit and warm heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Terri was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Depko.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck Taylor; her son, Alex Taylor, Jr.; her half-sister, Dawn Cummings; mother and father-in-law, Judy and Steve Taylor; sisters-in-law, Robin Villiard and Myranda Jeffrey; her cousin, Julia Busteed; and her best friend, Deena Quick, and a host of friends and family.

The family will receive friends for a gathering in honor of Terri on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with expenses resulting from her passing.
