Theresa Marie Tippett, 81 of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017.

Theresa loved the beach and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed doing crafts, cooking and taking day trips. She was a member of the Cumberland County Shrinettes, VFW , The Retired Military Association of NC, Cumberland Road Runners, Blue Street Seniors Group and the Sassy Southern Belle Red Hats. Theresa was a past Worthy Matron of the Southport, NC Eastern Star.

A memorial service has been scheduled for Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Cumberland United Methodist Church located at 2262 George Owen Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28306. A private graveside service will be held.

Anyone wishing to send flowers may have them delivered to the church that day between 11 am and 12:30 pm.

She is survived by her daughters, Carole Reid of Phoenix, Arizona; Deborah K. Whitley of Navarre, Florida; Helene Scofield and husband Charles of Littleton, Colorado; Carolyn Grim of Navarre, Florida; brothers, Tom Forrest of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Roy Forrest of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; sister, Patty Bedford of Grand Island, New York; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Tippett.
