Thomas was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War during which he was a POW/MIA. He was a generous man who volunteered so much of his time to so many different causes. He was "a happy camper" and most proud of being a grandfather.
He is survived by his mother, Vivian Williamson of Hillsboro, OH; sisters, Connie Cole and husband Terry, of Hillsboro and Tootie Pendleton and husband Tagg of Lynchburg, OH; brothers, Dick Gorman and wife Phyllis, and Charles Gorman and wife Martha, all of Belfast, OH; daughter, Andrea Tebbe and husband Donald of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Paige and Grant Tebbe of Fayetteville; son Chad Richmond and wife Nicole, of Leesburg, OH; and grandchildren, Noah and Morgan Richmond of Leesburg; and a host of nieces and nephews; all of whom greatly loved and will dearly miss Uncle Tom.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to either the USO of NC, Wounded Warrior Project, or Armed Services YMCA of Fort Bragg.
