Thomas James Gravley, Jr, age 91, of Fayetteville, NC, died Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Thomas was born July 14, 1931, in Pulaski, VA, to the late Thomas James Gravley, Sr and Lara Gertrude Henley.  He retired from the US Army.

Thomas is survived by two daughters; Jeannen McKnight (Charles) and Rene Dolinger (Donald); two grandchildren, Janine Brown (Joe) and Kendal Dolinger; and two great-grandchildren, Penelope Brown and Evelyn Brown.

Thomas was a veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War.  For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Medal.  He served honorably in the US Army, achieving the rank of Sargent First Class.

A memorial service, with full military honors, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Liberty, NC.
