Mr.Thomas Leighton Hatch, Sr. "Tom" 71 of Fayetteville passed away on Monday,November 24, 2014 at his residence after a brief battle with lung cancer.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. atThe First Baptist Church with the Rev. A. Edward Beddingfield, Jr. and Rev.Mari Wiles, officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m.Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church in the memorial lounge.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Willie Johnson and James LeightonHatch.

He was a lifetime member of FirstBaptist Church and also a member of the Men's Bible Class. Tom was the ownerand operator of the Table Talk Bakery in Carolina Beach until 1994 when heretired from the baking industry after 30 years. He was an avid deep seafisherman on the Winner boats at Carolina Beach. Tom enjoyed his daily visits tothe Haymount Barber Shop. He was an active member of the Holy Trinity EpiscopalChurch Alcoholic Anonymous Group and recently he picked up his forty year chip.

Mr. Hatch is survived by his son, Thomas Leighton Hatch, Jr. and his wifeEileen of Fayetteville and two grandsons, Thomas Leighton Hatch, III and Samuel Guy Hatch.
