FAYETTEVILLE - Timothy Roman Hayes, 51, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015. He was born in Fayetteville on Aug. 16, 1963. Tim was a graduate of Reid Ross High School and attended the University of Kentucky and later attended Campbell University at Buies Creek. Tim was an avid golfer and soccer player. He received a letter in golf and soccer in high school. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Stacy Hayes Sr. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, in Jernigan-Warren Chapel, with the Rev. John Blackman officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service. Tim is survived by his mother, Helen Bill Hayes of Fayetteville; daughters, Meagan Hayes of the University of Maryland Medical School and Morgan Hayes of Fort Belvoir, Va.; brother, Henry Stacy Hayes Jr. of Fayetteville; nephews, Adam Hayes of Fayetteville and Brian Hayes of Savannah, Ga.; and great-nephew, Henry Stacy Hayes II of Fayetteville.
