HOLLY RIDGE - Tony Mark "WhiteBoy" Gurganious, 49, of Holly Ridge, formerly of Fayetteville, died Thursday, May 30, 2013. Tony was a friend to everyone. He was a commercial fisherman and he loved fishing. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Pin Hook Cemetery in Duplin County. He was preceded in death by his father, Gayther Edgar Gurganious Sr.; brother, Gayther Edgar Gurganious Jr.; stepfather, George Ballard; and stepson, Michael Shimauchi. Surviving are his mother, Marcia Martin Ballard; brother, Victor Gurganious; sisters, Rose Gurganious Spell and husband Ronald and Sherean S. Garrison and husband John; stepsisters, Laurie B. Wiseman and husband Charlie and Nancy Cox; stepbrother, Buddy Ballard. Tony leaves behind many uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends form the Surf City area who loved him and will miss him.
