HOLLY RIDGE - Tony Mark "WhiteBoy" Gurganious, 49, of Holly Ridge, formerly of Fayetteville, died Thursday, May 30, 2013. Tony was a friend to everyone. He was a commercial fisherman and he loved fishing. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Pin Hook Cemetery in Duplin County. He was preceded in death by his father, Gayther Edgar Gurganious Sr.; brother, Gayther Edgar Gurganious Jr.; stepfather, George Ballard; and stepson, Michael Shimauchi. Surviving are his mother, Marcia Martin Ballard; brother, Victor Gurganious; sisters, Rose Gurganious Spell and husband Ronald and Sherean S. Garrison and husband John; stepsisters, Laurie B. Wiseman and husband Charlie and Nancy Cox; stepbrother, Buddy Ballard. Tony leaves behind many uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends form the Surf City area who loved him and will miss him. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at the funeral home.Visitation, 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday,June 4, 2013 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
