FAYETTEVILLE - Troy C. McLean, 88, of Fayetteville, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Village Green Nursing Home. Troy was preceded in death by siblings Hervey, Ben, Hector, John Wesley, Cole, Robert, Ralph, Jim, Muriel Draughon McDiarmid, Judell Wilson and Lois Barbour. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Chris Dickerson officiating. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. McLean is survived by his loving wife of almost 70 years, Dorothy K. McLean; four daughters, Judy Pittman, and husband Grant of Lumberton, Pat Piner and husband Larry of Fayetteville, Ellen King of Richmond, Va., and Marcia Nordhaugen and husband Paul of Cary; a sister, Thelma Adcox of Eastover; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
