Urella Williams Overbee Ortega, 89, of Wade, NC passed away Friday, June 10, 2011. She was an avid bowler known to all as "Granny". She was preceded in death by her grandson, Alvin "Al" Masson. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 16, 2011, from 6pm to 8pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Friday, June 17, 2011 at 1 PM in Jernigan-Warren Chapel with Dr. Alice M. Smith officiating. The burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Peggy J. Baker of Linden, & Linda Masson & her husband John of Wade; 1 son, Cleveland "Buck" Eugene Overbee & his wife Kathy of Stedman, NC; & a step daughter, Consuela "Connie" Chriss; 2 brothers, Howard Williams & his wife Mary of New Bern, NC & David Williams of Swannoa, NC; 9 grandchildren, Mary-Joyce Tabor, Harold Starling, John G.Masson, Michael Overbee, Nancy McCamish, Chris Overbee, Paul Overbee, Glen Chriss & Ira Chriss. 20 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great grandchildren.
