Ursula Maria Richardson Hicks, 82 of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at her residence.

Ursula was born on April 18, 1940, in Furth, Germany to the late Bruno Otto Fischer and Maria Muehlenkord Fischer.

A graveside service will be held in Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 10 a.m., where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Arvill Mitchell Hicks.

Ursula loved to travel, especially to the ocean. She had a love for animals and enjoyed watching the birds in her yard. She loved watching a good TV show and a glass of wine. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia James; sons, Wayne Wesley Lee Richardson, and Paul Ernest Richardson; sister, Helga Lantz; grandchildren, Maria James, Rachael James, Kathryn James and Wesley Richardson; and her beloved great grandson, Evan Leon James.
