Fayetteville, N.C. Mrs. Velnor Warren Whitfield, 78 of Fayetteville passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013. Velnor was a faithful member of Hope Mills Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 40 years. She was an employee at Black & Decker for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, James D. and Eunice Warren; husband, Carroll Weston Whitfield; brothers, Hardy and Hoyt Warren; sisters, Vernell Clark, Doris Bunce, and Elnor Warren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in Hope Mills Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Elton Bryan, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 2:00 till 3:00 p.m. Private entombment will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mrs. Whitfield is survived by her son Douglas Weston Whitfield and wife Tammy of Fayetteville; daughter Linda Siomacco and husband Edward of Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren Edward Siomacco, Jr., and wife Katie; Jennifer Siomacco; Anna Johnson and husband Bryan; John Whitfield; great-grandchildren Mira, Ethan, and Asher Siomacco.
