Verna Sue Carter Horton, 74 of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017.

Verna was born in Bryan County, Oklahoma to the late Ester and Vernon Carter on August 8, 1943.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Jernigan-Warren Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma at a later date.

Verna is survived by her sons, Charlie B. Horton, Jr. and wife Kristie of Linden; David Horton of Stedman; sisters, Vickie Allbritten of Sulphur, Oklahoma; Nancy Rockey of Milford, Delaware; grandchildren, Codey Horton, Savannah Horton, Chase Horton, Heidi Alvarez, Jordan Oliphant, Adam Oliphant; 3 great grandchildren.
