Vickie Leigh McPhail, 77, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022.

Vickie was born on November 22, 1944, in Harnett County to the late Nellie Bass Hinson. She was a retired educator with the Cumberland County School System.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 12 noon at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.

Vickie was preceded in death by her husband, J. Gene McPhail; twin brother, J.T. Hinson and brother, Dennis Hinson.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Ledford and son by marriage, Nick; son, Robert McPhail and daughter by marriage, Trisha; brother, Warren Hinson; sister, Begee H. Edge; grandchildren, Kaylee, Sawyer and Tori Ledford; and Jocelyn and Declan McPhail.
