Virginia W. Barnett SANFORD - Mrs. Virginia Wheeler Barnett, 87, of Sanford and formerly of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, in Liberty Commons. Mrs. Barnett was a retired employee of Sears. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Barnett; brother, Thurman Wheeler; brother, Franklin Wheeler,and sister, Margaret W. Spence. She is survived by her brother, Douglas Wheeler of Sunset Harbour; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville with the Rev. Archie Barringer officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at the funeral home.
