Virginia Wiggins Horton, 86, of Fayetteville passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021. As soon as life left her body, she was in Heaven with her maker, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Virginia was born on March 2, 1934 in Cumberland County to the late George McKenzie Wiggins and Helen Campbell Wiggins.

She was a retired secretary from Fayetteville Technical Community College.

A funeral service will be held at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2 p.m.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mike Benton, Sr., grandson, Mike Benton, Jr., and brothers, Richard Wiggins and Robert "Bobby" Wiggins.

Surviving are her sons, George Benton and wife Kathy, Elwood Benton and wife Lisa; brothers, Kenneth Wiggins and wife Maria, Harold Wiggins and wife Betty; sister, Dianna W. Goforth; grandchildren, Angela Benton, Pamala Martin, Amanda Benton, Nicole Verschuer, Nina Benton, Wade Benton and Sommer Benton; great grandchildren, Jarrod Hartley, Haleigh Kay Martin, Ashton Benton, Cole and Conner Verschuer, Cody and Cameron Benton.
