Mrs. Vivian Phillips Maloney Hickman, 67, of 618 Townsend St., Fayetteville, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, in her home. Mrs. Hickman was the loving wife of George R. Hickman and the loving mother of seven children. She was preceded in death by a son, George R. Hickman Jr. Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. Wednesday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville with the Rev. Alferd Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, June 26, 2007, at the funeral home. Mrs. Hickman is survived by her husband, George R. Hickman of the home; her daughters, Sharon English and husband Dana of Germantown, Tenn., Jenny Angel and husband Adam of Rocky Mount, Claire McDonald and husband Jeff of Gahanna, Ohio, and Lesa Atkins and husband Gerald of Sanford; her sons, J. Scott Maloney and wife Beth of Fayetteville, and Thomas Hickman and wife Cindy of Brandenburg, Ky.; her brother, Donald Phillips of Fayetteville; her aunt, Helen Jones of Fayetteville; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
