Walter Albert Gregory, 89, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Carolina Rehabilitation Center.

Walter was born on September 8, 1933, in Johnston County to the late William Gregory and Lina Whitman Gregory.

He was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church, where he was a past treasurer, usher and served in all the church activities as long as he was able. He retired from Binswanger Glass Company as a Sales Representative.

The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home from 9-10 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. in the Chapel. A burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.

Walter is survived by his stepchildren, Carla W. Beasley, Clark White and wife Margaret, Stan White; step grandchildren, Hannah Van Halen, Wilson Andrew White, Leanna Woodard, William Landon, Crissy B. Knott; 6 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; nieces, Faye Carter, Shelby Tart, and Wilma Owens; nephew, Charles Barefoot.
