1st SGT Walter Clarence "Pete" Miller U.S. Army Retired, Went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 11, 2012. Pete was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather great grandfather and friend. Mr. Miller served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of Hope Mills Pentecostal Holiness Church. The funeral will be held Tuesday 2 p.m. at Hope Mills Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Elton Bryan and Rev. Gary Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park West. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ella Miller and a granddaughter Ruby Miller Canipe. Survived by his wife Frances Ann Miller, daughters: Susan Horne and husband Rodney of Fayetteville, Rebekah Elgayar and husband Wahid of Fredrick, MD sons: Kurt Miller and wife Bea of Hesperia, Ca. and Lee Miller and wife Jami of Fayetteville. 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren Tuesday, 8-14-2012 2 p.m. at Hope Mills Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial Lafayette Memorial Park West visitation- 1 until 2 Tuesday 8-24-2012 at the Church.
