Wanda Sue McHugh, 87, of Raeford, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Autumn Care of Raeford.

Born on July 21, 1939, in Memphis, Tennessee, Wanda was the daughter of the late Robert Leslie Graham and Dollie Inez Smiley Graham.

Wanda retired from the Nevada State Department of Transportation, where she faithfully served as a Records Clerk. She later made her home in North Carolina and received the blessings of the sacraments from St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Raeford. She found joy in tending her garden and loved working puzzles of every kind, especially crossword puzzles. Wanda will be remembered for her quiet strength, kind heart, and the love she shared with her family.

She is survived by her three sons, Michael McHugh and wife, Nancy, Dennis McHugh and wife, Holly, and Patrick McHugh and wife, Alisha. She also leaves behind eight beloved grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Raeford.
