Wayland Vernon Culbreth, 90 of Fayetteville passed away Thursday January 3, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, in August of 2006. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He enjoyed singing in the quartet and church choir for many years. He retired from Sears as an installer and continued carpentry work at his home. The visitation will be held Saturday, January 5, 2008, from 10am to 11am at Salem United Methodist Church with the funeral starting at 11am. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his Step-Son, David J. Mclaurin of Tallahassee, Fla. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church Buliding Fund 2171 Middle Road, Fayetteville, NC 28312.
