Willa Rollins Long, 87 of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 19, 2021 with her family by her side. Willa was born on July 9, 1933, to the late Leamon Rollins and Bessie Weathers Rollins. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a devoted and loving companion.

Willa's dedication to her career was an inspiration to her family and those who knew her.  She worked her way up in mortgage banking and was ahead of her time as a successful business woman.  She loved to read, cook, sew, cross stitch, garden and play golf.  In recent months she had a passion for collecting and telling stories about gnomes.  The strength she showed amidst her many medical struggles was truly that of a Wonder Woman.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends form 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Mrs. Long is survived by her three children and their spouses, Jerry and Debbie Long, Jennifer (Ginger) and Landis Hall, and Janet and Ken Robertson; her three grandchildren, Joseph (Joey) Hall, Jessica Robertson, and Kara Robertson; and her siblings, Betsy Jane (BJ) Broadwell, Shirley Miller and William Rollins.  Willa also leaves behind the love of her life for over 40 years, Edward (Ed) Ancherico and his family.

Thanks to all of those who lovingly cared for her, allowing her to pass peacefully in her apartment at Heritage Place Senior Living.
