SFC William Lyman Bernard, 86, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018.

The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral home on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 11am to 12noon. Memorial services will follow at 12 noon in Jernigan-Warren Chapel with military honors.

William is preceded in death by his wife, Michiko Bernard.

He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Baker and husband Gary of Aloha, Oregon; Ellen Dion of Altamonte Springs, Florida; Esther Canoy of Rosemount, Minnesota; sons, William Bernard and wife Diana of Richland, Washington and Warren Bernard and wife Patricia of Howell, New Jersey; grandchildren, Jessica Baker, Jaime Bernard, Jennifer Bernard, Julie Dion, Koury Bernard, Tyler Bernard, Margaret Baker, Amanda Ward, Dylan Canoy and Darian Canoy and 7 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
