Retired US Army 1st Sgt William Joseph 'Bill' Fenton, Jr., 67, of Hope Mills, died Friday, June 6, 2014, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 13 2014, at 11 am in Jernigan Warren Chapel. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park with Military Honors. Bill was born January 31, 1947, in Lynn, MA to the late William Joseph, Sr. and Lucy DiPietro Fenton. He was retired from the US Army after 21 years of service including tours in the Vietnam War. After the army, Bill worked civil service with the Department of Defense. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Ellen Fenton of the home; 3 sons, Derek Fenton and wife Amy of Holly Springs, Danny Fenton and wife Stacey of Raleigh, and Justin Pascual and fiancée Heather of Hope Mills; brother, Rick Fenton and wife Susan of Bradford, MA; and 4 grandchildren, Sebastian Pascual, Gavin and Hannah Fenton, and Liam Fenton.
