U.S. Air Force Ret. LTC William N. Burks, 80, of Fayetteville passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery at 10 am.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Burks of the home; son, William Norris Burks, Jr. and wife Patricia Burks of St. Pauls; daughter, Shannon Burks Clegg and husband William Clegg of Greensboro; brother, Thomas Archie Burks of Denham Springs, LA; and grandchildren Scott Schroeder and Caroline Patterson.
