William Christopher "Chris" McDaniel, 66, of Eastover, died Monday, July 23, 2018 at his residence.

Chris was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, served with the National Guard, worked with Borden Chemical Co, and retired from Carolina Telephone/Sprint after 30 years of service. He had a love for guitars, music and kitty cats, especially his adored Sunny Elizabeth.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Melinda Ivey, officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 -2 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at the dining hall.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Myrtle McDaniel; brother, Lacy McDaniel.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Sandra "Sandy" Webb McDaniel; son, Christopher W. "Chip" McDaniel and wife Amber; daughter, Catherine M. Hurley and husband Alex; grandchildren, Claudia, Londyn, William and Dylan; Scarlett and Charlotte to arrive soon.
