Retired US Army Master Sergeant William Edward "Bill" Heintzleman, 85, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in Woodland Assisted Living Facility. All services will be private. Bill retired from the army after 20 years of service, during which he was a member of Special Forces and a veteran of the Vietnam War. Following his retirement, he worked another 20 years between the Fayetteville City Police Department and the Salemburg Justice Academy. He was also a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, William E. Heintzleman, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Thenia Kinsauls Heintzleman; his daughter, Mary H. Wemple and husband, Patrick, of Edenton, NC; son, Robert A. Heintzleman and wife, Yvonne, of Lillington; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Private
