Obituary

William Macintosh Jr. FAYETTEVILLE - Master Sgt. William "Bill" Macintosh Jr., 78, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, in his home. Bill was born Dec. 2, 1934. He retired from the U.S. Army Special Forces Aug. 31, 1973 after serving a distinguished career of 22 years. Bill was a Special Forces veteran of the Korean War and served two tours in the Vietnam War. Master Sgt. Macintosh was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriela and William Macintosh; and a daughter, Constanze Macintosh. A graveside service will be held Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, with full military honors. Master Sgt. Macintosh is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Karin Macintosh; sons, Roland, Jeff, Billy and Quinton; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the United Hospice Care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fayetteville Area Operation-In-As-Much, 531 Hillsboro St., Fayetteville, N.C. 28301. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake with full military honors.
