W.D. McCall Jr. FAYETTEVILLE - W.D. McCall Jr., 95, of Fayetteville, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. McCall was the oldest member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He retired as a sergeant with the Fayetteville Police Department after 33 years of service. Mr. McCall was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Leon Keefe officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Monday at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Mr. McCall is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Maude Fort McCall of the home; a son, Ron McCall and wife Helen of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Connie Good and husband Jim of Durham; two grandchildren, William Brian Good and wife Kelly, and Ashlee Stone and husband David; and two great-grandchildren, William Avery Good and Anna Cameron Stone.
