Retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major William EugenePeacock, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014 in RexHospital in Raleigh, N.C.

Mr. Peacock was an Army veteran of the Korean andVietnam Wars.

He was preceded in death by his wife Geneva Lee Peacock.

Funeralservices will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. inJernigan-Warren Chapel with Chaplain Archie Barringer, officiating. The burialwill follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens with military honors. The familywill receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Peacock is survived by his daughters, Linda WrightHoskins and fiancé Billy Ray Hawley of Eastover, Dottie Holloway of Albemarle, Barbara Brown of Lexington, S.C., Carol McGee and husband Bill of Fayetteville and Gail Peacock of Fayetteville; sons, Dennis Ray Peacock and fiancé AngelParrish of Fayetteville and William Eugene Peacock, Jr. of Batesburg, S.C.; sister, Donna Mae Williams of Coal Port, Pa.; grandchildren, Tina Ballard, MelissaArcher, Marjorie Holloway, Larry Brown, Jason McGee, Samantha Peacock, KaylaParrish, Michael Peacock, Tiffany Peacock, Kasandra Peacock, Terri Cain and Spencer Cain; 15 great-grandchildrenand 2 great-great grandchildren.
