WILKESBORO - Mrs. Wilma Dupree Hamilton, 88, of 407 W. Main St., formerly of Fayetteville and Raleigh, died Monday, June 15, 2009, in Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009, in First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, with the Rev. A. Edward Beddingfield Jr. and the Rev. Charles T. Bodkin officiating. Entombment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum in Fayetteville. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the memorial lounge at the church. Survived by: Husband, Lacy L. Hamilton of Wilkesboro; son, Wade Lee Dupree of Nogales, Ariz.; daughters, Linda Dupree Hensley and husband Dean of Houston, and Judy Dupree Faw and husband J.C. of Wilkesboro; stepdaughters, Sandra Newton of Charlotte, Madeline Hamilton of Raleigh and Donna Malone of Raleigh; sisters, Mabel Smith of Godwin, Ailene Dundon of Chester, Va., Daisy Fogelson of Charlotte and Rebecca Joyce of Glouster, Va.; grandchildren, Sloan, Guilford and Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Chandler and Lance; stepgrandchildren, David, Craig, Sharon, Jimmy, Diane and Paul; and five great-stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Dupree; parents, Fred and Molly Giles; brother, Hugh P. Giles; and sister, Mildred Schoof.
