Wilma Jean Johnson, 64, of Fayetteville passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Wilma was born November 1, 1956 in Montgomery, AL.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mike E. Johnson.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially being a mother.

Wilma worked in Education for Cumberland County Schools. She worked as a Teacher Assistant at Sherwood Park Elementary School for 10 plus years. She has been a longtime substitute teacher at Douglas Byrd High School, where she enjoyed working with exceptional students.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 2 pm at Jernigan-Warren Chapel with Rev. Sang Park, officiating.

Wilma  is survived by her mother, Louise Johnson; sons, William Liddle Strathern, III., Jason Allen Strathern, Curtis Lee Strathern; daughter, Crystal Lynn Watkins and husband Kenneth Arrington; brother, Mike Steven Johnson.
