Winifred "Winnie" Smith Kucas ,89, of Fayetteville, NC passed away Monday February 15, 2021 at Haymount Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She was born July 13, 1931 in State College, PA to the late Dolores Gable Smith and Rupert Smith. Winifred was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen T. Kucas; and her son, Mark A. Kucas.

Winifred served as a secretary at St. Patrick's Catholic School for 30 years. She was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Fayetteville. When her eyesight began to fail, Winifred took up painting as a hobby. She lived her life with the greatest faith and was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her family will always cherish the memories made with her and she will remain in their hearts forever.

She is survived by five children; Cindy Gregory and husband Ron, Kathy Bender and husband Doug, Steve Kucas and wife Kelli Clark, Margie Rogers and husband Tom, and Debbie Seideman; her daughter-in-law, Julie Kucas; ten grandchildren, Cindy Wall, Sean Wall, Jessica Heffner, Adrienne Efland, Greg Bender, Theresa Steigerwald, Jennifer Rogers, Hannah Seideman, Ian Seideman, and Cooper Kucas; and five great-grandchildren, Townes Wall, Camille Heffner, Cohen Heffner, Olivia Steigerwald, and Harper Steigerwald.

A funeral mass will be held Friday February 19 at 11AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 1000 Andrews Road in Fayetteville with Father Jack Kelly officiating.
