Yvonne Brisson McInnis passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Durham Ridge Assisted Living in Durham, NC. Yvonne completed her Dementia journey and went to be with the Lord she has faithfully served all her life. Yvonne's life was her testimony of God's amazing grace. As her ability to converse with others declined, her ability to talk to and about her Heavenly Father did not falter.

Yvonne was born September 17, 1947 in Fayetteville. She graduated from Seventy-First High School and was a cosmetologist for over 40 years in Fayetteville, retiring in 2012. She loved cooking, especially desserts for her family, and she was very good at it. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Jessie Stephens Brisson and brother, Leon Brisson.

Yvonne was a member of Village Baptist Church where she loved being a part of the choir and the Adventure Sunday School Class for many years. Yvonne is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bill McInnis; son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Jessica McInnis; 2 grandchildren, Tyler Grace and Jacob Parker McInnis, all of Raleigh, and her twin sister, Edith Brisson of Fayetteville.

A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 2nd 2017 at 4pm at Village Baptist Church with the Rev. Nick Smith and Rev. Frank Scott officiating. The family will receive friends from 3pm to 4pm in the Fireside Room at the church.
