Allegra Clementi, 32, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, January 25th at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born to Domenic and Andrea Clementi on September 3rd, 1992, at Fort Ord, California.
Allegra leaves behind her mother, Andrea Clementi of Fayetteville, her father and step-mother, Domenic and Marie Clementi of Woodbridge, Virginia, her step-brothers Brandon Mitchell of Woodbridge, Virginia and Allen Mitchell of Wilmington, North Carolina, her sister, Oona Clementi of Fayetteville, grandparents Donald and Joan Odoardo of Prospect, Connecticut, her aunt Bethaney (Beth) Edwards of Prospect, Connecticut, her AFL parents Ondrae and Lisa Radcliffe of Fayetteville, extended family and many friends.
Allegra’s first name means ‘happy, joyous, cheerful.’ Her middle name means ‘bright.’ Despite significant developmental challenges, she was a bright spirit. Her laughter and smiles brought joy to everyone who met her. People were immediately captivated by her sunny personality. Allegra made friends everywhere she went. She greatly enjoyed meeting and spending time with people, especially her AFL parents, who she loved very much.
Allegra liked traveling in the car, parties, barbecues, holiday celebrations, and going on vacation. She was a true social butterfly. She loved children and their voices. She loved animals and they loved her, staying protectively by her side. Allegra enjoyed television shows and movies. She absolutely loved music. Allegra could not walk but would ‘dance’ with her feet and make silly faces. She could not see well, but was an excellent listener (even an eavesdropper) who could distinguish people by their voices and footfalls. She loved playing with her toys, especially the noisy ones. Allegra was a very happy young lady.
