Anna Maria Greene

Anna Maria Greene, 94, of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with her daughter by her side.

Anna was born on November 30, 1930, in Augsburg, Germany to the late Luis and Anna Haunz.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Followed by a service at 2 p.m. at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery Chapel.

After many years of service, Anna retired from the Cumberland County School System where she worked in the cafeteria at 71st Elementary, Morganton Road Elementary and Westover Jr. High. 

For many years Anna enjoyed volunteering with the American Red Cross at Womack Army Medical Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arlen R. Greene.

She is survived by her son, Robert L. Greene and wife Marie; daughters, Doris R. Knight and Linda A. Greene and husband Donald Pfau; one granddaughter, Alexandra Greene.
