Ashton Carter Pagett entered this world with a bright and commanding presence on June 10, 2013, in Nassawadox, VA. Tragically, his life was cut short on March 27, 2025. While his time with us was far too brief, we take comfort knowing he is now reunited with his beloved Aunt Monica and Uncle Ray Ray in heaven, where they are no doubt sharing joyous moments together.
At the time of his passing, Ashton was a 6th grader at Sandy Grove Middle School, where he brought light and laughter to everyone around him. He had a special fondness for his action figures, particularly Spider-Man, and spent countless hours immersed in his favorite video games. His sharp wit and playful, dark humor made him a source of joy, always ready to make others laugh with his silly antics.
Ashton was the youngest of four children and was loved and cherished by his family, who adored him. He leaves behind his devoted mommy, Ashley McBride, he was the Ashton to her Ashley, her jr. her baby biscuit; dad and his hero, Bobby Padgett; and bonus daddy, Terrell McBride. He is also survived by his loving big sisters, Aniyah Grant and Te’Ani McBride; his big brothers, MJ, Little Bobby, Kobe, Jordan, and Dylan; his best Bud, Cam; and his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.
A special time has been set aside from 3-5 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home for fellow students and teachers.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. A celebration of Ashton’s life will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel.
