Obituary
Bobby W. Perkins, 91, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully Monday, April 17, 2023 at Angel House Hospice Care in Whiteville, NC.
He was born in Red River County, Texas on November 24, 1931.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years, with service in Korea from January 1951 to January 1952 and Sondrestrom, Greenland from September 1958 to September 1959 and in Vietnam September 1966 to September 1967. After retiring from the Air Force in September 1970, he settled in Fayetteville.
Bobby taught Automotive Technology at FTCC for 20 years after retiring in 1992.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
He married his wife, Margaret in September 1952 and had two children, a son, Michael and daughter, Constance. Constance predeceased her father in 1996. His wife passed away on August 14, 2019. They had been married for 67 years.
In addition to his son and daughter-in-law, Teri he leaves behind three granddaughters, Amy Robarge and husband Jon, Angela Decker and husband Kenny, Vanna Ackers; four great-grandsons, Trey Robarge, Jarred Robarge, Ethan Scoggan, Gryffin Ackers and two great-granddaughters, Ashley Faircloth and Alyssa Robarge; brother, Dick Perkins of Linden; sister, Frances Williamson of Warren, Michigan.
