Brenda Fay McDaniel

Brenda Fay McDaniel, 80, of Zebulon, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 4, 2025 at Duke Hock Family Hospice Pavilion in Durham, after a brief illness.

She was born October 13, 1944 in Cliffside.

Brenda graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1962 and attended Fayetteville Technical Community College where she obtained an associates degree.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, who was once her paperboy, Danny McDaniel Sr.; sons, Danny McDaniel II (Angela) of Wake Forest and Patrick McDaniel of Zebulon; grandchildren, Stephanie Jones, Danica McDaniel, and Andrew McDaniel; great grandchildren, Grayson Jones, Emma Jones, and Remy Jones; brothers,Kees Hawkins (Susan) of Fayetteville and Rickey Hawkins (Janice) of Lawrenceville, GA; nieces, Kerry Brewer, Meghan Lamont, and Grace Hernandez, along with several great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Margaret Hawkins.

During her 62 years with Danny, they were able to visit and live in several different countries and states. Her favorite being Hawaii, which they in turn continued to visit long after retirement. 

Funeral services will be held Friday May 9, 2025 at 12pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior. Burial will follow services at Lafayette Memorial Park.
