Catherine (Stafford) Glessner

Catherine Stafford Glessner, 66, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Born on February 5, 1959, in Danville, Virginia, Catherine was the daughter of the late Don Stafford and Dorothy Moorefield Stafford.

Catherine was a devoted mother and a strong, caring provider to her sons, Jared Glessner and Athan Glessner. In her earlier years, she enjoyed sewing and cross-stitching. She also loved working on Sudoku and puzzle books, watching old westerns, and indulging in her favorite treats—ice cream and honeybuns.

She is survived by her sons, Jared Glessner and Ethan Glessner; her brother, Don Stafford and his wife Dee; her sister, Jennie Stafford; nephew, Christopher Jacobsen; niece, Melissa Shantz and several other nieces and nephews.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held by the family at a later date.
