Cavanna Rose Ennis Hamilton

Cavanna Rose Ennis Hamilton died at the age of 69 on April 3, 2022.

Cavanna was born on February 23, 1953, to Doris Faye Ennis and the late Garner Rose Ennis of Coats, NC. She was preceded in death by her father, Garner Rose Ennis and her husband, Charles Alan Hamilton. Charles passed of Covid pneumonia in early January, just a few days shy of three months ago. She is survived by her mother, Doris Faye Ennis, three brothers: Michael Ennis, Edwin Ennis (Sheila), and Jayson Ennis (Wendy), six children: Daniel Moore (Lyn), Buffy Gregory (Larry), Kristin Smith (Brandon), Charles Hamilton II, Joseph Hamilton (Crystal), Rebecca Deasy (Robert), and sixteen grandchildren: Lauren Ashley, Taylor, Channing, Tori, Warren, Nathan, Justin, Chance, Madison, Emma, Jackson, Tucker, William Drake, Jade, Caleb, and Eleanor.

Cavanna was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, Nana, and loving wife. She reared her children in the Lord and was proud that they are all loving and serving Jesus with their lives. She was attentive to and present in the lives of her family. She always had an open heart and was willing to listen and share wisdom she had gleaned from the Lord. She was our biggest cheerleader, our greatest prayer warrior and was eagerly awaiting the return of her Lord and Savior.

She started a career at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center late in life but was able to finish her degree, work, and retire from CFVMC. She spent her retirement with her family.  She poured selflessly into them and loved them fiercely.  

Some of her favorite passions were spending time with her late husband, Chuck, her mother, her children, and grandchildren. Her favorite book of the Bible was James. She was a professional at flipping channels and shopping on QVC. She was so dedicated to this profession that she knew the UPS man by name. She was infatuated with all things pink, and enjoyed sprinkling pixie dust, just as Tinkerbell does, everywhere she went. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 10, 2022, from 3 to 5 pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 1:00 pm in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel.  Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
