Charles Raymond Horton, better known as Chuck, was born June 29th, 1956 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Nora-Jane and Raymond Horton. He was the younger sibling to sister Linda Rogers.
An Air force brat, he moved around before settling in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
After graduating from Douglas Byrd High School he began working with the handicapped and mentally disabled at The Cumberland Sheltered Workshop. In 1988 he wed Kara Jobes and they had a daughter, Casey Horton. He also had a step-daughter, Samantha Davis.
He enjoyed building things and working with his hands. So much so, he started his own business, C&C Home improvement.
Chuck was a comedian at heart. He loved making people laugh. Not a day went by that he didn’t bring a smile to someone’s face. Chuck had a beautiful family, but he always insisted he was the best looking. No matter where he went he was the best dressed person.
Chuck has two grandchildren, that lit up his life; Ethan Horton and Annalisa Berger. The love for his children was great but the passion he had for his grandchildren was unmatched. He gave his life to the Lord and was a member of Hillside Baptist Church.
Charles is survived by his sister Linda, daughter Casey, grandchildren Ethan and Annalisa along with numerous cousins and nephews.
