Charles F. Susuico, 69, of Bunnlevel was called home by his Heavenly Father on Friday, August 11, 2023, at the V. A. Hospital in Fayetteville after a long battle with cancer.
He joined the U.S. Army at the age of 17 and retired after 22 years of service. Shortly thereafter he worked and furthered his education. He was an alumnus of FTCC, he then became a civilian contractor with the DOD at Ft. Bragg. He was well admired for his expertise of being a transmission/heavy equipment mechanic.
Charles’ hobbies include bowling, hunting, fishing and was passionate about spending quality time with his grandchildren conversing, advising, as well as being playful with the younger grandchildren. He had a special bond with grandsons, Aiden Camacho and Elijhan Concepcion. Aiden bonded with his papa via telephone calls, face time and his month visit here in North Carolina while his parents were in Washington State. He also came from Hawaii to visit his papa before his passing. Elijhan shared 3 years residing with papa after high school and before he joined the U. S. Army. Needless to say, that Charles loved all of his grandchildren.
Charles now joins his departed family members, mother, Jesusa Susuico first wife, Eveline Susuico; sisters, Kathy Cruz, Josephine Amico and Rita; brothers, Joseph and Vicente Susuico and Panta San Nicholas.
