Christopher Slavin Obituary

Christopher McKinley Slavin 41, of Sanford, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medial Center.

Christopher was born on February 14, 1979 in Christian County, Kentucky. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and employed with the Department of Defense at Ft. Bragg.He received his Army commission from New Mexico Military Institute  and graduated from the University of New Mexico.  As an Army officer he deployed three times to Iraq and once to Afghanistan.  His life of selfless service is an example of his true being.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Jack Kelly officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.   The church service and graveside will be live streamed on the Jernigan-Warren Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/JerniganWarren/

Surviving are his wife, Jodie Lynn Brice Slavin; son, Connor Brice Slavin; Parents, Gail McKinley Slavin and James “Jim” V. Slavin; sister, Alyson Slavin Fellers and brother -in-law Adam.
