Dixie (Johnson) Trammell

Dixie Johnson Trammell, 86, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2024.

Dixie was born on July 9, 1937 to the late Ted Pugh Johnson and Mettie Mae Carter Johnson.

In her early years she owned and operated a nail salon in California. She enjoyed bowling, line dancing and her greatest joy was when all the family was together at her home enjoying her cooking.

Dixie was a generous giver, a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, niece, and friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Dawn Colletta and Anthony “Tony” Charles Colletta; grandchildren, R.C., Wes, and Helena; sister, Betty June Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's research Hospital.
