Mr. Elek Torok, 82, of Parkton, NC passed away Sunday June 27, 2021 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC.
He was born November 24, 1938 in Hungary to the late Maria Suba Torok and Gyula Torok.
Soon after immigrating to America, Elek served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He went on to pursue a career as the successful business owner of Carolina Machine Company of Fayetteville, Inc, a company he operated since 1979. His hobbies included fishing, boating, flying planes and reading every book he could place his hands on. Elek built his own 43 foot yacht and his own airplane a Starduster Too. He also enjoyed listening to classical music and playing his piano.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Mrs. Cynthia Cox Torok; his daughter, Marie Torok Spell and husband Rodney; his son, Christopher Torok; his grandchildren Lauren Spell, Heather Spell, and Taylor Torok; his brother, Laszlo Torok; and his sister, Agnes Torok Dicso.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 1 at 3PM at Sandhills State Veteran Cemetery with military honors.
